How much will my clean cost?

Click on 'our services' for an idea of our costs. Our hourly rates include the cleaner's wage and our agency fee. Our rates vary depending on the area you're in and the number of hours you require each week. If you'd like a free quote, then contact us! All we require from you is the approximate number of hours you need and your postcode

Am I tied-in to a contract?

We do have to have terms and conditions, however we don't believe in long over complicated contracts. We do ask for fairness. If you do ever need to cancel, all we ask is that you give us a month's notice

How do you vet your cleaners?

There are 4 stages to our recruitment process. 1.Phone interview - we establish the candidate's suitability to work with Kellys Kleans and confirm they have the legal right to work in the UK. 2.Face to face home interview - We meet the candidate in their own home. This is where we get into the real detail to make sure they are absolutely the right candidate for us. We complete a physical check of Right to Work, ID and proof of address documents. 3.References - we insist on having 2 verified references. 4.Monitoring - we'll ask for your feedback and every cleaner will have a monthly feedback session with us. You'll also get to meet your cleaner before they start their cleaning for you. Please note, it is not a legal requirement for domestic or commercial cleaners to be DBS checked (“Disclosure and Barring Service” ) unless they are working with children or vulnerable adults.

Is my cleaner insured?

Absolutely. Our insurance includes a minimum of £1,000,000 public liability insurance. In line with all other insurance policies, this is indemnity cover not new for old and there is an excess on the policy. There is a £250 excess per claim which you would be responsible for

Do you provide cleaning products and equipment?

We do not provide equipment or cleaning products. Our clients prefer to specify the cleaning products used in their homes. We'll be happy to discuss this at your consultation visit and even recommend products to you. Check out our blog for recommended products! Important - For health and safety reasons, our cleaners are strictly prohibited from handling or using bleach or products containing bleach

What cleaning products do you recommend?

We'll provide you with a product checklist in your welcome pack, however we recommend anti-bacterial spray, kitchen cleaner solution, bathroom cleaner solution, limescale cleaner, glass cleaner, polish, floor cleaner (suitable for tile, vinyl or laminate), toilet cleaner, coloured cleaning cloths, coloured cleaning sponges, mop and bucket (or spray mop), feather duster, dustpan and brush, vacuum cleaner. Please ensure rechargeable vacuum cleaners are fully charged for your cleaners visit. Please remember - our cleaners are not permitted to use bleach or any product containing bleach

Are there any 'hidden' costs?

No. Our costs can be found on the 'our services' page and will always be agreed at your initial consultation visit

Do I need to be at home when my cleaner visits?

No. If you wish to provide your cleaner with a key to your property, this will be an arrangement between yourself and your cleaner. We always suggest you ask for a signature receipt from your cleaner when transferring keys. We provide key receipts in your welcome pack. The cleaner will be responsible for the safe-keeping of the keys and for returning them to you when required. Kellys Kleans will not save keys for our clients

What happens if my cleaner is sick or on holiday?

Should your regular cleaner be unable to attend, we will introduce a cover cleaner on request. On occasions, due to short notice, the cover cleaner may not be able to attend on your regular day/ time but we will agree a mutually suitable alternative with you

How do I pay my cleaner?

You'll pay your cleaner directly. Most clients pay in cash, however payment via a bank transfer can be arranged

How do I pay my agency fee?

Your agency fee is a fixed monthly subscription based on the number of hours cleaning you require. This will be confirmed at your initial consultation. The fee is collected as a regular monthly recurring payment by bank standing order. The payment will usually be due each month on the same date as the first clean

Can I increase/decrease my weekly cleaning hours?

We are happy to discuss this with you and this will be subject to the availability a suitable cleaner to cover those hours

What if I am unhappy with my regular cleaner?

If you have any issues at all with your cleaner, please just let us know and, if the issue cannot be resolved, we will introduce an alternative cleaner as soon as possible
